The United Nations (UN) is a global organization dedicated to maintaining peace, protecting human rights, and fostering international cooperation. Founded after World War II to prevent future conflicts, it officially began on 24 October 1945. Today, it has 193 member states working together on issues like humanitarian aid, sustainable development, and international law.

Model United Nations (MUN) brings these global challenges to students, allowing them to step into the shoes of diplomats. At MUN conferences, participants represent countries or organizations, research policies, debate solutions, and draft resolutions to address real-world issues. This experience sharpens skills in public speaking, critical thinking, teamwork, and leadership.

Beyond debating policies, MUN teaches students that every voice matters. It encourages them to challenge injustice, find common ground, and resolve conflicts through diplomacy, not division. By engaging with global issues firsthand, students develop the confidence and wisdom to make meaningful contributions—no matter where their future careers take them.
